Featured in DesignNY Magazine in 2009, the concept for project was to create a sophisticated but comfortable beach front home. We selected many of the colors from the outside – blue water, sand, driftwood, sea oats, beach glass found in the sand. We selected every finish from the metal roof to the stone pavers in the driveway for this interior design project.. We provided all the furnishings, lighting, area rugs, window treatments and accessories from our own resources. The dining room table was custom designed by Schaper Associates and built in Western NY.
This total “turn key” project for us was a feature story in DesignNY Magazine. The client wanted a comfortable, but upscale look, suitable for his family to enjoy and also for entertaining. We called the look “Upscale Tahoe” because of the somewhat rustic look in many of the furnishings. It reminded us of a luxury lodge in a ski resort.

The attempt is always to showcase your best work, while still maintaining the integrity of the house. The 2007 and 2009 homes were a collaboration with another local designer and we won a total of four awards.
We designed two condos, ten years apart, for the same owner. We went from 600 SF to 1800 SF. We re-used all the furniture from the first condo and added new to accommodate the 3X larger space. Because the furnishings were of such a good quality and timeless look, the new space looked like everything was from today.
